The following are the maps I am constructing as part of my Web Mapping course, MIS 250, which is being offered at Mercyhurst College.

OpenLayers Maps

Multi and Non-multi states - This assignment assigns different colors on a map to states with multiple parts and states without multiple parts.

Map Assignments

Four Buttons with Locations - This assignment contains a map that is controlled by four buttons that take the user to four different locations. There is also an on/off button included that toggles the info window on the map on and off.

Las Vegas Casinos - This assignment displays a map of three Las Vegas Casinos and marks them on the map with movable markers and info windows.

Draggable Marker and Total Distance - This assignment places a marker on san diego that is draggable. When the marker is dropped it will put a line on the path from the last point as well give the total distance from the original point.

Polygon Overlay on States - This assignment uses the polygon function in order to lay different colored polygons along the borders of Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado.

Directions to Mercyhurst - This assignment gives directions initially from Cleveland to mercyhurst, but can can be changed by clicking anywhere on the map to get directions from the clicked location to Mercyhurst.


Google Earth Maps

Leaning Tower of Pisa - This assignment uses the Google Earth plugin to show the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Space Needle and Opera House - This assignment displays one of two locations depending on what button is pushed. The two locations I have used are the Space Needle in Seattle, WA, and the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia.

Polygons over Kansas and Texas - This assignment gives a view on google earth of both Texas and Kansas. The polygon feature is used in order to display a representation of the two states' populations according to the the high of the polygons.

National Championship Information - This assignment shows polygons over three schools in California, Stanford, UCLA, and USC. The polygon's height represents the number of NCAA Division I championships that each school has won.

Leo Constellation - This map displays the constellation leo and the name of the stars it is comprised of.

Can of Spam - This map places a model within the google earth plugin that is of a can of spam.
